The New Zealand Culture and Arts Foundation (NZCAF), in partnership with the Auckland Chinese Community Centre (ACCC) and Channel 33 New Zealand Chinese Television, successfully co-hosted the “Year of the Horse Chinese New Year Festival and Market Day” at Auckland ASB Showgrounds. The event was honoured by the presence of senior representatives from New Zealand’s political, diplomatic and community sectors, reflecting the significance of this annual celebration within the country’s multicultural calendar.
Attracting more than 20,000 attendees, the festival once again confirmed its status as one of the largest and most influential Lunar New Year celebrations in New Zealand. Over 200 stalls showcased a diverse selection of food, festive goods, cultural products and artistic displays. The programme was thoughtfully arranged across indoor and outdoor areas to cater for visitors of all ages, creating a lively and inclusive festive atmosphere.
The indoor main stage featured a vibrant line-up of performances blending traditional and contemporary elements, presented by local arts groups, while the outdoor festivities commenced with an auspicious lion dance performance symbolising prosperity and good fortune. The overwhelming public participation and positive feedback highlighted the event’s continued success and reinforced NZCAF’s commitment to promoting cultural exchange and strengthening community engagement across New Zealand.

活动当天，来自中国和新西兰政界与商界的多位嘉宾出席了本次新春庆典活动，共同见证了这一华人社区盛事。出席本次活动的嘉宾包括新西兰工党副党魁Carmel Sepuloni、国家党国会议员Nancy陆楠，国家党国会议员Carlos张隽浩博士，工党国会议员Jenny Salesa、中国驻奥克兰总领馆陈世杰总领事、奥克兰副市长Desley Simpson、奥克兰中国文化中心王建文主任，以及各界社团领袖、商界代表和活动的赞助方代表。
新西兰总理Christopher Luxon，中国驻新西兰兼驻库克群岛及纽埃特命全权大使王小龙受邀为醒狮点睛。
本次活动不仅为海外华人送上新春祝福，也让新西兰各界民众沉浸式感受欢乐祥和的传统中国春节文化氛围，是奥克兰华人社区一年一度最具代表性与影响力的重要节庆活动。
活动当天共设置超过200个摊位，涵盖美食、年货、文化创意与艺术展示等多个类别，为市民提供了丰富多样的选择。
新春花市同乐日分为室外与室内两个区域，面向不同年龄层观众呈现形式多样的节庆体验。
室内主舞台上演了融合传统与现代元素的文艺演出，多支本地华人文艺团体轮番登场，为观众带来精彩纷呈的视听表演。
室外活动则以舞狮表演拉开庆典序幕，龙腾狮跃，喜气洋洋，瑞彩纷呈。
自1992年起，屋仑华侨便开始为奥克兰华人群体举办新春庆祝活动。自2002年移师奥克兰展览中心以来，除2022年因疫情被迫取消外，该活动已成为奥克兰夏季的标志性盛事。 多年来，活动人气持续攀升。本次活动吸引约超过2万名观众参与，成为新西兰农历正月初一前规模最大的庆典活动。这一具有影响力的中国新年庆祝活动–新春花市同乐日已逐渐成为奥克兰华人社区庆祝农历新年的重要品牌。
