The closing concert of the New Zealand International Young Musicians’ Festival was successfully held on 26 June at St Matthew-in-the-City in Auckland. The festival was jointly organised by the New Zealand Philharmonic Society and the New Zealand Huaxia Multicultural Arts Centre, with support from the New Zealand Culture and Arts Foundation.

The festival welcomed internationally renowned pianists and educators Dr. Xun Pan and Associate Professor Chao Wu, who visited Auckland to present masterclasses, public performances, and educational activities. Their participation provided young musicians and local music enthusiasts with valuable opportunities to learn from internationally respected artists.

On 25 June, Dr. Pan and Associate Professor Wu also presented a public piano masterclass and a piano four-hands recital at the University of Auckland School of Music, sharing their expertise in performance techniques, musical interpretation, and stage artistry.

The festival provided an exceptional platform for young musicians to learn, perform, and exchange ideas with internationally acclaimed artists while strengthening cultural and musical connections between New Zealand and the global music community. The successful conclusion of the festival celebrated the achievements of its young performers and marked another milestone in fostering international musical exchange.
